ESL Teacher and Assistant Teacher Training

We are excited to offer ESL Teacher training in Charleston for volunteer teachers and assistant teachers! This training will give you a good foundation in teaching ESL using Biblical concepts. We hope that you can participate!

DATES:

• Registration Deadline Friday July 10, 2025

• On-line Course Access July 20 – August 16

• In Person Workshop Tuesday & Wednesday August 19 and 20 from 6:00 to 9:00pm (you must attend both nights)

COST: $25 per person (includes printed manual)

DESCRIPTION:

This is a Hybrid Workshop with both on-line and in-person training.

• Participants will complete online work at their own pace over 1 month.

• The remaining workshop is presented in five hours of in-person training.

• The online portion is reading, watching videos and completing written assignments, which instructors review and provide feedback. All of this must be completed before the in-person portion.

• The in-person training covers teaching a new language, vocabulary drills, teaching pronunciation, communication activities, using the book of Mark as ESL material, and sharing your faith.

A Registration Link will be emailed to you on July 3rd with instructions. You will have one week to sign up and make payment.
